Pressed glass was first produced in the early 19th century as an inexpensive alternative to hand-crafted cut-glass and crystal. Coming in a variety of patterns and colours, pressed glass and depression glass can serve as both decorative and functional pieces. Group collections of same coloured pieces together in a hutch or on open shelves for stunning visual impact. Patterns can vary as long as the pieces are in the same colour.
